After today, the shop is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Wow so many people lining up for this place. I guess the thrill is gone for me since there are so many places that have already opened up. Still shocked at the tables at WSP selling the stuff with cops right next to them, still a weird sight for me. Now I wonder if the ball in Times Square will change to a “bowl”. Lol
What is this need for people to wait hours in lines, just so to get something on its first day of release?
I stopped by Citibank to make a deposit this afternoon and was wondering what the long line was for when I exited. Now I know. Cool beans. Not into marijuana myself but to each their own. Last night I was listening to WABC talk radio in NYC online. The host Dominic Carter is conservative but an honest , nice one unlike many of the other hosts on that station. He was against this but had no idea how much Charles King has done for NYC so I got on the air and let him know and by the time I got off he said I sounded pretty sane considering I told him I smoked some legal Nevada Cannabis before I called. He seemed to agree with me when I said that if any organization would do the right thing with the money the new store brings in King will. I also said that Charles King is very much the best selection the State could have picked to open the first store in NYC and whoever picked Housing Works made a fantastic choice. Thank you to Mr. King for all he has done over the years since he opened his Ave.D Housing project long ago.

This morning on NY1 Noticias there was a report with accompanying video with a very brief interview and shot of Carlina Rivera making a purchase. If only she spent some time helping to crack down on all the illegal operations rather than doing photo opps.

The image of Rivera smoking while chilling and watching the bulldozers by the river is a fitting send off for 2022.
I get it that it's the first store that's "legal" in NY but I'd love for someone to explain why people would want to wait on a line that is around the block? A very big block. Especially when there are so many other places to purchase it. It had to be at minimum a two hour wait (tho probably longer) I saw it for myself.
