The dining structure was nestled between two that are still in use at the Brooklyn Dumpling Shop and William Barnacle Tavern.
As we recall, there had been a DOT removal notice outside the Japanese health-food cafe, which went dark last summer. Upon closing, ownership put the blame on Sen. Charles Schumer in a parting letter posted to the front door.
Meanwhile, around the corner on First Avenue, @pixelkeg reports that the owners of MáLà Project removed their curbside dining space yesterday.

Someone was living inside this abandoned shed for the last couple of weeks. AO Bowl left the electrical in tact when they closed. The person who took up residence in the shed had an electric heater among other items.
I feel sorry for that homeless person that took up shelter at the shuttered restaurant but there wasn't any choice having an electrical heater could cause a fire and even that person could have died because of it.
Speaking of people living on the street, does anyone know what happened to Razor, who used to be at the corner of First Avenue & 9th Street?
I did not know that her name was Razor but I know who are referring to. I saw her in front of Iggy’s Pizza on 1st avenue a few days ago.
