This is one of the few decent developments to emerge from our long real estate boom / NYU invasion nightmare. Ease up. At least it doesn't look like it was designed by a four year old mom's empty shoe boxes, like most of the recent dreck to clutter the village skyline.
the whole thing looks intentionally "ironic" -- like it's making fun of the "edgy" 2cooper sign in the background and all that other instant "cool" stuff geared towards rich kids with the font, etc.

We love tips
Have a story idea or tip about something happening in the East Village? Or maybe a photo? Or several photos? Or video! We'd love to hear about it. Or see it. Or something. Please go here to submit a tip.
By the way
Here, you'll find things that you may or may not be interested in about the East Village and other parts of New York City. Appreciating what's here while it's still here. Remembering what's no longer here. Wishing some things weren't here that are here.

Funny, it is reminiscent of that link. Except the font is way hipper than helvetica ever was. Which defeats its own purpose.
Like the building. Loathe the ad campaign. Despise the assholes it's directed at.
