The coming-soon signage is up at 246 E. 14th St. between Second Avenue and Third Avenue ... announcing the ever-popular shops that sell smoking supplies, sodas, beers, etc.
I believe the previous tenant here was a discount place called Gift Mart. (Anyone?)

Remember when they used to call these stores "head shops"?
Previous tenant was a bag and suitcase store. They had a going-out-of business sale for maybe a couple of weeks, accompanied by a boom box playing a recording of someone urging people to come inside and browse the discounted stock.
