The fullest of full reveals at 699 E. 6th St.

We meant to note this one sooner... we now have a full reveal at 699 E. Sixth St. at Avenue C. (Workers removed the plywood around the corner property.)

As previously reported, the residential building will include 11 units, a storefront and space for an unspecified community facility on this long-vacant corner. Not sure where the storefront will be — the Sixth Street side?

And still no sign of listings... maybe you've seen some?

A gas station was the last tenant here in the 1980s. And for decades it was an entertaining empty lot.

Looks like a prison block. Just missing a chain link fence and some razor wire.

Seems intentionally ugly.

Whoever designed this looked as though they failed their matchbook correspondence courses. It makes the "brutalism" style of design look inviting, and that's not easy to accomplish

Hhhhmmm, should we nickname this one " The Cellblock @ C "?

It's not as bad as it looks. At least the construction is complete. And we can get on with the rest of our lives. I reside around on the corner of C and 7th. As a resident of this community, I am hopeful this will provide affordable housing to others.

Honestly this is less ugly than I feared. Still not great but less bad. Glad it’s housing instead of an empty lot.

You people are never happy, are you? Doesn't even have much glass.

A Full Reveal post automatically means I hate it comments. More predictable than the tides.

Because the developers/architects are predictably artless, tasteless, and cheap in their designs

This is soviet east Berlin style. In EU they would never approve this in a major cosmopolitan city.

I mean...do you NOT hate it? Maybe it looks better in person, but this is grim. There is more than one way to be ugly.

Ugly would even be tolerable in return for affordable housing, but with 11 units on 5 floors, this is almost certainly condos.

If I were a corrections officer this would be my dream job. Safer than Rikers, and within walking distance of endless bars for break times.

Love the positivity brimming from these comments.

Residential? I thought it was a subway ventilation system building.

When did brokers and publicists become such big EV Grieve fans?

Who's going to change all those exterior light bulbs?

May not look nice but it's 11 units vs a "long-vacant corner". More housing = good. Period.

Enough already! This unit will provide housing. If you don't like it, don't live there.

Look at all of those comments recognizing the value of housing! Didn't even have to call me out improperly for normally making such comments

The new curb cuts are ridiculous on that corner, and also every other corner of that intersection. Maybe a coincidence they were all redone at the same time as the construction corner. But, they seem to have missed the point altogether.
