Was at the Loisada Street Fair this morning and it was fun--lots of food--be back later for their music and entertainment.I posted some photos of the Fair today on my blog.
The first year or two of the street fair, the pina colada stands had a rum/no rum choice. Several hundred inebriates in front of a bandstand was not a good mix, so the ban was imposed and lots of police imported to uphold it. That acutally might have been the only time I didn't mind the bandstand, which usually is placed about 25 yards from my windows. Today, it's much farther north and the cats won't freak out starting around 4 pm.
Here, you'll find things that you may or may not be interested in about the East Village and other parts of New York City. Appreciating what's here while it's still here. Remembering what's no longer here. Wishing some things weren't here that are here.
