As I mentioned, the whole parcel at 348-352 Bowery is up for grabs... the listing says this 800-square-feet of outdoor space is available... and that restaurants are welcome...
While on the Bowery, I figure it's time to start documenting Downtown Auto and Tire at Great Jones... oddly enough, I didn't see one person here while I took these shots... it was as if the workers had already been banished from the new Bowery...
I imagine the new neighbors here with westward-facing windows don't care much for this view...
Previously on EV Grieve:
Please meet the next corner of the Bowery primed for something luxurious

this used to be the place that folks with foreign cards and/or difficult repairs all went. while they were a bit expensive (didn't look it) they were good.
soon the only commercial establishments left in the neighborhood will be bars and restaurants and we will have to go to new jersey to get our shoes repaired or find a family owned store.
too bad.
This just makes me sad. I see these mechanics every day and they're always very nice...I hate to think of them being unemployed.
At least it was used in the recent NY Lottery commercial.
It was also used as a location in the 1979 cult film "The Warriors"
