Well, this is almost too good to be true...It's from a New York Times article from January 1914, back when NYU was (mostly) in the Bronx. You can read a PDF of the article here.

Nice find! I'm not so up on my NYU history, but it seems like the Bronx version was more like a traditional college atmosphere rather than the high rise campus of today.
Please go fuck yourself and eat shit and die. I hope each of your descendants get anally pummeled by big black cocks, get infected with AIDS, and as a result, contract homosexuality.

We love tips
Have a story idea or tip about something happening in the East Village? Or maybe a photo? Or several photos? Or video! We'd love to hear about it. Or see it. Or something. Please go here to submit a tip.
By the way
Here, you'll find things that you may or may not be interested in about the East Village and other parts of New York City. Appreciating what's here while it's still here. Remembering what's no longer here. Wishing some things weren't here that are here.

And it's dispiriting to note that NYU ignored or downplayed the issues their students caused even back then. Guess some things never change.
Classic.
This is too great! And "Porch Repose Impossible" is another great band name, or perhaps a movie title.
Brilliant, Marty. So many great band names lurking that it's always how shockingly, puzzlingly dull new band names can be.
