Rite Aid finally shoveling their sidewalks

Earlier, a resident who lives and works near the Rite Aid at First Avenue and Fifth Street told us that the drug store never shovels their sidewalks... creating treacherous footing for shoppers...

However, around 5, we got word that Rite Aid dispatched three men to clear the sidewalk...

The first shot is from EV Grieve reader Brian...

And ...

...thought they haven't gotten around to the Fifth Street side just yet...

Think Coffee on 4th Ave b/w E 12th and E 13th doesn't shovel their walk either. THINK about it: brew a pot, dump on sidewalk, repeat until snow is gone!

I still won't shop at Rite Aid, shoveled sidewalk or not. Place is filthy.

Rite Aid has to be the mostly poorly run drugstore chain I've ever been to. Have you ever shopped at the store on 14th between A and B? There is also merchandise all over the place and one cashier to serve a long line of people. I only go there when I am desperate.

A bad job of shoveling--right now (11am) the front of the store has a slushy slippery little path, and the side of the store isn't shoveled at all--the snow is just packed down. some poor guys are trying to roll boxes along it and having a terrible time.

They've just taken over the 5th Street side like it's their storage lot.
