I didn't see it but I heard it from my apartment (9 btwn 1st and 2nd). I could hear a girl yelling and it sounded like she was running. When I finally looked out the window to see what the ruckus was I just caught the girl with her phone repeatedly calling the snatcher an a-hole surrounded by some guys, likely her heroes.
This is not news. This happens daily (hourly?)
There was a pretty violent phone theft outside of my building on on 12th street last week. Some guy punched a girl in the face, stole her phone, and ran off with it.
i live on 9th.. heard the girl screaming went out asked around.. surprised this corner in particular especially after the bean came in
