Stiv Bators died after being hit by a taxi in France in June of 1990 - he left hospital saying he was not injured, before seeing a doctor, went back to hotel, went to bed and died from the concussion he suffered from the accident - Really too bad, the Lords Of The New Church were at least, a decent band.
I must have see the Wacky Wok guy (the same one you did) a few minutes after he hit White Furniture. I ran across him for the second time in about a week today at 7th and A. I tried to get a picture, but he disappeared into the crowd before I could get the camera up.
I'm usually the first to mock gimmick restaurant concepts, but an all-croque eatery sounds fantastic! I personally like a "croque madame" (the one with a fried egg on top).
Hopefully you can get Coke in glass bottles or a nice demi-pression too.
