There's a new cafe/bakery called Pinisi on First Avenue between First Street and Second Street. Located where the Edwin Travel Agency II used to be. (The agency moved to Allen Street.)

We're sort of
assuming this is an outpost of the
Pinisi around the corner of Fourth Street.

Just what is needed...more infantilized food. I long for a fishmonger, but that will never happen, because the neighborhood is now largely occupied by those who use their stoves as a place to store their skateboards.
"sexy cocao cupake" for only $3.50!!!
Hey Grieve, I'll race ya over there!
Btw, I would like to announce that the next hot food trend after the cupcake will be Jello. So start scouring the yards sales for those fish shaped molds......Have I got an ambrosia recipe for you!
Is this in any way related to the Pinisi on 4th st. (which also sells cupcakes)?
I assumed it was another outpost... I needed to make that connection in the post....
I too long for a fishmonger. It wasn't that long ago that there were three (14th & B; 9th & A; 13th & 1st) and then there were none.
