The kids by TSP are really enjoying stealing the CitiBikes docked there. I see them getting stolen at least twice a week.

Obviously not a Citibike to anyone who has working eyes.

Citibikes by the way are not subject to profitable theft for a bunch of reasons, No need to detail it here, but the development program was entirely successful in that regard.

What 4:11 is referring to is strange indeed. If you are observing attempted thefts, are you reporting them? Do the thieves not see you watching them, or are you peering thru your window blinds to catch these thieves? If so, are the police not responding to your reports? How many hours daily do you spend peering out between your blinds to catch these repeat criminals?

Sounds like a bunch of baloney by someone that doesn't like the program.

One man's opinion.

I'm aware the bike in the photo is not a city bike but the color of the bike and the location it was dumped reminded me of the kids and their joy rides. And no, I'm not reporting the thefts to the po po when I walk by with my dog. CitiBike, their customers and local juvenile delinquents are all aware the bikes are difficult to lock in the dock. When they're tired of thefts and customer complaints they'll address it.
