Clocks go back one hour at 2 a.m. with
Daylight Saving Time ... so if you're reading this post tomorrow, it will be 8:17 a.m. and not 9:17 a.m.
And the new clocks at St. Mark's Church in-the-Bowery (
above!) on 10th Street and Second Avenue arrived
in September 2018.
On Nov. 12, 1955, lightning struck the clock tower, which generated 1.21 gigawatts of power.
