Whopper Jr's are often on the dollar menu, which is the only part of fast food that is wothwhile, ie if you are in need of something to shove in your mouth before passing out from hunger, and have but a few pennies to spare, it is cheaper than a hot dog, which are often now going for $1.50.
The reminder that we are paying 9% tax is pretty startling though.
Here, you'll find things that you may or may not be interested in about the East Village and other parts of New York City. Appreciating what's here while it's still here. Remembering what's no longer here. Wishing some things weren't here that are here.

oh the change is wrong, they're giving money away...
No, the change is correct on the receipt. But it seems certain that someone has some unresolved issues with Mohammad.
The change is right. The total was 2.18 with tax. The purchaser paid 20.25. The change was 18.07 which is correct.
No idea why this is up though.
I have no idea why this was posted. Change is correct. Is it that Mohammad is serving Cheeseburgers?
The change is correct- 20.25 - 2.18 = 18.07. Are Whopper Jr's $1 in NYC ??
I always thought Whopper Jrs were more than $1....
Oddly, these receipts were generated at the Burger King on Seventh Avenue and 40th Street, not in the East Village....
