How you can be first to see the innovative beauty of a new line of Cadillacs
A film crew will be out today (until nightfall!) to shoot a TV commercial "featuring the innovative beauty of a new line of Cadillacs," per the posted signs. (Thank you Steven for the photo!)
Filming will occur on Stuyvesant Street, East Ninth Street and East 10th Street. The sign notes that their "working vehicles" will be parked on East 11th Street between Second Avenue and Third Avenue.
The new Cadillacs are probably pretty nice, but do they have a stuffed tiger inside?

EVG reader Daniel caught a little of the action on 10th Street... you can see the innovative beauty behind the totally awesome high-tech selfie Benz...

Let me start the week by saying: FUCK Cadillac; FUCK Duane Reade, and FUCK Kanye West. Head to Bushwick or BedStuy, all of you - it's much trendier there.
I guess in DeBlasio's NYC, there's no concern or room for actual residents to live their lives in any reasonable way. We're all just background props for people and entities far more important than us.
Lucky, lucky, lucky us.
It's bad enough the morning walk to Astor place is an ever-changing, dystopian landscape of impassable streets, now we have Cadillac to make things even worse by shutting down 9th Street, Stuyvesant Place and 10th Street. Having a bunch of 20-somethings shoo! shoo! me from one street to the next to the next was not how I wanted to start the week. #audi
That's okay I'll wait till I buy a new one in the autumn.
This company seems legit and well-meaning but sorry I just have to laugh out my ass at these people literally cannot help themselves from talking in ad speak. "The innovative beauty of a new line of Cadillacs." GTFO with that. You are addressing the people whom you are about to inconvenience, whose street you are about to exploit for your own gains, not freaking potential Cadillac customers. Like I said literally cannot help themselves. They probably talk to their own mothers with these mouths. "Oh yeah mom, job's going great. Right now we're working on a spot that features the innovative beauty of a new line of Cadillacs." GTFO.
Not for nothing but "beautiful innovation" would read way better. Chumps.
I saw the innovation first hand. It was white and chrome and boxy. It looks like every other car that looks like this.
The car has a fluffer! Randy!
Innovation would be shooting the commercial on the Vegas Strip.
Amusing that a Mercedes vehicle is being used to do the filming.
And associating Cadillac with the East Village?
...if the car had a self-cleaning litter box, then, you know, I'd be the first in line.
