Work continues at 10 Astor Place between Broadway and Lafayette... where the signage arrived this week for another NYC location of
Sweetgreen, the healthy quick-serve restaurant that offers various custom salads and grain bowls, etc.
No word yet on an opening date for this Sweetgreen. The company has plans to expand in NYC with at least
four new locations citywide.

I'm a salad nut (shut up, everyone has their own bacon-donut alcoholic-froyo secret shame) and I know people rave about this place, AND I'm always right near the Union Square location, but I don't know ... when it first opened, the lines were insane, but even now that they've gone down there's something suspiciously "boutiquey" and precious about Sweetgreen, and it's always overrun with Lululemon-clad women who seem to spend their weekdays going from SoulCycle to Om Factory. It's just easier for me to get my kale on at Chop't, where it's just a dang salad and not a ~scene~
I call these ladies Lululemons LOL.
Who gives a fuck who is also in line ordering a salad, you precious little teacups?
For being such a self-propelled city, people here sure do concern themselves with other people.
How many conversations about hipsters have you had this week?
No one cares, 1:23pm. I think the op was being sarcastic and I was being funny. Lighten up. Francis.
For someone who doesn't care who's on line you sure like to label people with your "hipsters", so get off your high horse, jerkoff.
Yeah I got a problem with hipsters including you cuz you must be one since you brought 'em up - you got a problem with that???
1:23 is just cranky, he needs to eat more salad
1:23 makes a great point IMO. Personally I can see it both ways. On the one hand you have to go about your life on the other hand, some cultural trends are simply hard to not notice or not have a reaction to.
my husband, full of malapropisms, accidentally calls it Lulumom, which actually makes sense...
Sweet Green is the best out of the salad places. Psyched it's coming to Astor.
