After 15 years at 166 2nd avenue ,east village artist Paul Kostabi and cults manager Heidi Follin also of Follin Gallery have to leave due to a rent increase from $2,300 to $3,300. I guess the East Village really is a place for people whose parents make more then 3 million a year.
Anon 12:47- That doesn't sound right. That unit seems like it should be stabilized, which would make a $1000 increase illegal. I'm assuming that Kostabi and Follin have spoken to housing advocates (Cooper Square Comm. or GOLES). Or did their income go over the limit?

By the way
Here, you'll find things that you may or may not be interested in about the East Village and other parts of New York City. Appreciating what's here while it's still here. Remembering what's no longer here. Wishing some things weren't here that are here.
