I'm excited for the opening of the museum. It is a great project of historical importance to the community. I do hope to see representation of ALL reclaimed spaces in the museum, not just squats - the gardens, the homesteads etc. Let's remember, many reclaimed spaces were already occupied and taken over by pissed off abuelitas when the landlords cut off the heat and hot water. good luck!

How wonderful! I am so excited you are opening. What a tribute to your amazing energy that you all managed to repair the considerable damage from the Hurricane flood and open so soon.

MoRUS will be an amazing resource for everyone, documenting the dynamic past and the ongoing relationship between the city and people who care enough about each other and their neighborhood to work together and create their own unique space.
