Someone has been laying down bird seed (or something that looks like bird seed from 5 stories up) in the gated planter area to the right of the 9th & A park entrance.
I was going to take a picture of it this morning, but before I could, the Avenue A Pigeon Battalion swooped down, ate it all, and departed.
I feed the same family of mourning doves and chickadees and sparrows on my window ledge (fine quality wild bird seed). It's such a treat to help warm their bellies!
Here, you'll find things that you may or may not be interested in about the East Village and other parts of New York City. Appreciating what's here while it's still here. Remembering what's no longer here. Wishing some things weren't here that are here.

Well, it will all be back soon enough (albeit in converted form).
