Hop to it: Good Beer NYC now open

The craft beer shop opened yesterday on Ninth Street between Avenue A and First Avenue. Good Beer received a blessing from the 9th Street Block Association last summer... They're open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday; Noon to 7 p.m. on Sundays. Per their mission statement: Good Beer is "dedicated to providing customers with the best draft and bottled beers, charcuterie, cheeses, sausages and hot dogs with an emphasis on organic, heritage and regional products."

Here's an article on the place via Thrillist... Chris O'Leary wrote about the shop back in July at Brew York, New York.

"charcuterie." like "artisanal," a vastly overused word in the city today.

when will they put in the tables and chairs?
and a bathroom?

Charcuterie may be overused, but I still don't know what it means. Is it French for McRib?

oh who cares if those words are overused - he has a great selection of beer AND growlers!
(there are a few tables and chairs in there now for those who wish to sit down with a pint and nosh on some charcuteries)

@Marty Hilarious! Jokes aside, I still do want to check this place out.

as uncivilized as some of you may be, this place is incredible. If your IQ doesnt match the words used maybe the superior beer will queue up some points for you. the selection is insane and the customer service is like none other.

blue glass: They have both already. They got a beer/wine license approved by CB3 back in the spring, their hours being the stipulation. And I stopped in last night - fantastic beer, reasonable prices, and an amazing selection.

We were here last night. Fantastic place, and the savory snacks are really good!

Happy that I now have two options half a block from home: Immigrant for wine, and Good Beer for, well... :)
