It's pretty sad that Jeffrey needs to turn his meat business into a tv reality show in order to stay in business. Also sad that the city tried to raise his rent 29% in a recession and sadder still that with the 29% increase his rent is still only about half of the market rate for the neighborhood. Small family run businesses catering to less fabulous locals can't make a go of it with too-high EV rents any more, so I guess as time goes on we'll be seeing more and more Duane Reade's and wine gardens with hyper-seasonal tasting menus. Ugh.
