EV Grieve is an ad-free East Village blog where you'll find local news on the real estate, restaurants and residents of the East Village NYC. Launched in December 2007.
for many years this lot was used by children of the residents of 13th street as a play lot, rented from the city by the block association. the sale of the lot by the city was prevented several times by members of the block association. chico painted a mural on the side of the building on the west, with pictures of residents of 13th street. as the kids grew up the lot was used for hoops and dog walking.
Have a story idea or tip about something happening in the East Village? Or maybe a photo? Or several photos? Or video! We'd love to hear about it. Or see it. Or something. Please go here to submit a tip.
