Wall Street Week in Review

As our nation's economy gasped and wheezed through another traumatic week, enterprising reporters, tourists, news networks, protestors and, uh, bloggers, braved a chaotic Wall Street to be a witness to history. Or something equally dramatic.

Here are some snapshots from the week that was Wall Street.

Thanks! Yeah, those Fox balloons were baffling -- was going to do a whole post just on them...to promote your program at a time like this?...and balloons? And black balloons? I followed them for a bit to see if one of the balloons would pop...One more thing bursting on Wall Street.

Wall Street didn't cause this mess. It was the poor management of Freddie and Fannie. People like Mudd, Gorelick, Franklin Raines, and James A. Johnson pirated Freddie Mae. In the 80's Freddie almost went out of business from investments in mortgage backed securities and investments in real estate. nomedals.blogspot.com

I love all the Chinese standing around checking out their new possession.

Wall Street didn't cause this mess? Lehman and Bear Stearns didn't do this to themselves, it was someone else's fault? I don't understand that comment at all.
