Game over for Kobe Bryant video game ad on Avenue A

So, you know, back in the fall, we devoted a few hundred several posts to Chico's "spay/neuter" mural on Avenue A near 12th Street that was painted over for a Kobe Bryant video game ad.

Anyway, last week, workers painted over the Kobe ad...

So what will we see next on the wall? I'm going with a Vans ad.

Hmm, I notice Vans are already inching their laceless way across the skate park on East 11th...

I like esquared's idea -- they could resurrect the DKNY mural from Houston! (I'm still not over its erasing.)

Maybe Chico will come back to do a new mural.

I vote Diesel.

I'm with you, James Taylor. I cringe every time I see that banal Hollister ad that obliterated my beloved DKNY wall on Houston.

That ad should have been landmarked.

I wouldn't mind the wall remaining blank either...

I think it will be an NYU ad that says "If you lived here, you'd be home by now."
