I really like these photos of the old East River Park Bandshell (circa 1992-93) that were taken by Jen Williams (aka beatricethecat)...
The venue was
refurbished in 2001 with, randomly enough, the help of Erin Brockovich.

Yep, the photos are nicer than the reality. When I was a kid playing in east river park, I wasn't allowed to go near that thing. It was mostly feces and junkies in there.
