"Yuppie" is not the equivalent of "n*gger" or "f@ggot" -- that's REAL hate speech. Get a grip old man.
Then he says the slogan "Die Yuppie Scum "is "calling for the death of total strangers" -- yeaaaah ... except it's NOT "Kill Yuppie Scum," dude.

I simply think David Peele is going way over the top in calling the slogan "Die Yuppie Scum" hate speech. It's totally hyperbolic.
I never heard Jerry personally talk about passive resistance towards gentrification. Personally, if i saw you tearing down the posters that I just put up, I'd do the same thing. You're lucky he didn't break your fingers.
