Turns out that the tiny Thai eatery between Avenue A and Avenue B has been open for more than a month.... Has anyone tried it?

Yes! I posted a review and photo of the food on Yelp (http://www.yelp.com/biz/ko-z-manhattan). I'm not a fan of Thai food, but wanted to give it a shot since I'm so happy the storefront isn't empty anymore. The vegan plate was very good, although a bit salty (which I think can be said of all Thai food?). The guy behind the counter was super, super nice. I never see anyone eating there, but have seen some people getting takeout. Fingers crossed! Let's support a new business on the block, especially since the future of the bar seems uncertain...
Thanks, anon. I'll try Ko-Z. I spoke with the owner for a moment. He seemed very friendly. Surprised me that he had been there that long already. Can't believe that I never noticed it.
Here, you'll find things that you may or may not be interested in about the East Village and other parts of New York City. Appreciating what's here while it's still here. Remembering what's no longer here. Wishing some things weren't here that are here.

i don't understand why the restaurant isn't opened for lunch. Wouldn't the owner lose some businesses?
My wife and I tried it last week. Cheap goodceats and a very nice owner who prepared and served the food.
