Breaking: East Village has the most pizza places of any neighborhood in Manhattan

That's the word from the New York City Economic Development Corporation today... Using the latest available data from the Department of Health restaurant inspection results, researchers found that the East Village (zip 10003) has 33 pizza places.

The StatsBee Tumblr has more details on the survey... which you can find here.

Interesting that they are counting 2 Bros. as "pizza."

I agree with Anonymous 12:18 PM, the stuff they serve should be called, "warm ketchup bread."

Wait a second, with my 10009 zip code I'm not in the East Village? Huh. News to me.

Hey c'mon, that's a fast tasty glob for a buck - have noticed the cheese amount dwindling the past couple months...yesterday I decided to try that Artichoke place on 14th because there is always a horde there...the topping was really good and the slice very big but the dough was like rubbery cardboard, really poorly done.

Not a fan of Artichoke in general but specifically if you haven't tried their Sicilian slice you should walk yourself over there right this instant and buy one. Crazy good.

Always liked Stromboli on St Mark's. Go there instead of the scary $1 mystery cheese joints.

Heard good things about Iggy's also, but haven't tried it.

Motorino was a complete disappointment. Haven't tried Numero 28 which some recommend. L'asso anyone?
