Rite Aid continues to evolve on First Avenue

The transformation continues here at First Avenue and East Fifth Street ... there's now a garden theme on the exterior... the plants and flowers will actually grow a foot or two while you stand in the check-out line...

That's much better than solid blue. It looks like it belongs there.

Chico should paint something!

Lipstick on a pig. What would be nice is if the store actually kept most items in stock and didn't regularly close its pharmacy 5-10 minutes before the scheduled closing time.

Aw, so charming. I love it!

So nice to see something original and human instead of some commercial, boxy, and glaring.

Ah. I was really trying to figure out what was up with that odd blue color. Makes sense now.
But yeah; I'd rather they spend their money on stockers and checkers, inside.

Pretty painting. Too bad the checkout personnel (when you can even find them) are of the same mentality as the concrete blocks that make up the store façade.

For all my "Pharmacy needs" I use Block Drug Store on 6th and 2nd Ave. Rite-Aid has cheap beer, though.

Guess it means they're not selling to a developer. Mars Bar's gone, but we get to keep Rite Aid. Woohoo!

rob, it's "WOOOOoooOOOO!", not "Woohoo!". Don't forget what neighbrohood you're in!

I hope this means they'll do a mural on the 5th St side.
