Sliding home! Get your penthouse duplex with a stainless steel slide!

Last March, we posted that item about the condo on East 14th Street with a slide.

These photos may jog your memory.

Oh, yeah. That East Village condo with a slide!

Anyway, turned out that Phil Galfond, a professional poker player, owned this place in the notorious A Building. And now, as The Wall Street Journal reports (via Curbed), the penthouse duplex is for sale — $3.99 million.

Can we get that slide to zip us right into the Blarney Cove?

$3.99 million to live across the street from a dorm?

Ditto, ditto, ditto the above comment. Stuyvesant Town is being increasingly turned into a roudy, party hardy STUDENT DORM by Adam Rose of Rose Management and Andrew MacArthur, Vice President of CW Capital.

The dorm insanity (sorry Jeremy) story of Stuy Town is on the front page of the 2/23/12 local Town & Village newspaper (headline is STUDENT TOWN). Kyle Freeman is the 21 year old CEO of his roommate finder link. From his quote: “it’s easy for three or four roommates to share an apartment with two in the master bedroom paying around $700-$800 each, one person in the smaller bedroom paying around $1,100-$1,200 and possibly a fourth person in the living room/converted room paying the rest of the rent.” This story is for real, this guy has partnered with Rose Associates for this. He gets a one month rent fee. He says he gives back $500-$1000 to the new tenant. He also says he has apartments listed in LIC and Brooklyn. Woo!

Leave it to Stuy Town to bring down the neighborhoods property value!

I live in Stuy Town, and Adam Rose has destroyed the place by turning what used to be a wonderful place to live into a dorm, and filling it with rowdy students. Our apartment is surrounded by 3-7 students cramped into 1 and 2 bedroom apartments who share one tiny bathroom. The noise and disturbances go on 24/7. The toy security cops do nothing except give them mild warnings during their nightly parties, which, of course, the frats and OMG girls ignore because they know Adam Rose won't ever take serious action.

They shout, scream and woo-hoo on the 14th street loop all night long, both coming and going from the bars/clubs.

Adam Rose is even worse than Tishman Speyer in so many ways, if such a thing is possible.

Rosie has also destroyed the grounds. It was never uglier. Nice view for $4 mil.

I have lived in Stuyvestant Town for 12 years and I have got to admit... ever since the NYU students moved in my building has been filthy and noisy. It really depresses me that Rose would let this happen to a once lovely community to live in.
