Okay, whoever's cat this is... I hope you're a guy. Because a guy with a cat named Pinkerton is about 50-60% of the kind of guy my beautiful younger sister is looking for (shes a cat and weezer fan). Hope they find their cat!
Anon 6:40, cats can be very sneaky. Years ago, I was rushing to leave for work ... got down to the street and saw it was raining, so I ran back upstairs for an umbrella. As I'm opening my apt. door, I notice out of the corner of my eye a wee fluffy cat down the hall. Then I did a triple-take when I realized HEY THAT IS MY CAT. She, like many cats, is a stealthy little ninja, and slipped right by my feet the first time I left. Since then I never leave the house without knowing *exactly* where she is, saying a formal goodbye, and telling her to be good.
Of course as pet parents we should be vigilant about their safety, but these things happen. Have a heart, at least for poor Pinkerton's sake.
despite some of the comments accusing said pinkerton owner of being an idiot or bad parent... he came back home a few days later after his adventures, so take that naysayers! clearly he thinks his owner ain't half bad.
YAY Anon 7:08!! So happy that Pinkerton is safe and sound! I admire his adventurous spirit, but sneaking away from his people is naughty, and very dangerous here in the big city! I told my own cat that very pointedly that time she tried to sneak out for some exploring, ha ha. Anyway, what a relief. Please give him muchas smoochas from me. :)
I think this is the first time an EVG lost pet story has had a happy ending!

nooooo. I hate lost pet signs. They make me so sad and anxious. :(
I'll look out for you, Pinkerton. You are a very cute little one. I hope you're reunited with your people very soon.

Why don't you check with the big bankers. Last I heard, they were hiring Pinkertons to keep the population in check.
makes me sad too
Idiot(s). How does one lose a cat in Manhattan except through idiocy?

sorry for the novel
OK Anon I'll keep this one short and sweet: Go fuck yourself. I hope your cat escapes to find a nicer person to live with.

Glad that Pinkerton is safe at home!
