Bistro Cafe & Grill now open on First Avenue

... on the southeast corner at Second Street... the awning tells you just about everything the place will serve... wraps, burgers, salads, gyros... let us know if you try this place.

Shoulda been The Bean! This place looks useless. (Someone check out the wifi and get back to us, though)

Why does every new place have to try to be as obnoxious as possible??? Bright colors, flags, and this one has a glaring intense spotlight right above the door that blinds you as you cross the street!

The awning says that it serves "warps", actually. Can't wait to try one.

We already have enough of The Bean and they will be opening on First Ave. in an Icon building. Why does everybody praise The Bean? I like The Bean because it's casual and offer good food, but they are business people. They don't exactly have Occupy Wall Street posters in their windows. I don't know who the landlord is in the space on 2nd Ave., but the original Bean was in a Westbrook/ Magnum aka Ben Shaoul building, and the new one will be in a building owned by Icon Realty aka owners of the illegal Hotel Toshi.

Councilwoman Rosie Mendez has not staged one protest in front of Toshi at 325 E. 10th and they are still running it. Also on that block at 315 E. 10th is another building that Ben Shaoul bought where he is adding a penthouse and no protest. Ben Shaoul also bought Cabrini nursing home which will be turned into luxury housing, no protest by the councilwoman. There are over sixty buildings that Magnum Management/Ben Shaoul are in partnership with, long time residents are being viciously harassed and forced out of their legal rent stabilized apartments and Rosie Mendez done nothing in the past five years for these people, not even one protest.

Bistro Cafe & Grill looks like a deli where you can get hot or cold food and they offer seating too. Maybe there's something good.

I wanna like Rosie and Ms. Chin, too, but if feels like they know we will not vote for Republicans, so we have no choice but to re-elect them, and then they do so very little for the voters. sad. do we need a real democratic primary?

Bistro Cafe & Grill doesn't quite cover all the bases. Restaurant Bistro Cafe & Grill would have. Oh wait, Restaurant Bistro Cafe Grill & Pizza would have.
