There's goes the R-I-T-E A-I-D on East 14th Street
Our friend DJ Xerox passes along this photo... showing a worker removing the last of the sign from the Rite Aid between Avenue A and Avenue B... The store is one of several along East 14th Street to close to make way for something to look like...
Anyway, apparently the Rite Aid moved up its original Oct. 30 closing date.

OMG no! Not Rite Aid!?! There goes the neighborhood! Those bastards!!! Where will I get fourteen pounds of M&M's at a discount now?!?
@rob
If you want fourteen pounds of M&M's at a discount, then move to....!
What neighborhood can I move to that has a Rite Aid, Grieve? This is really bad. It's just wrong.
Between A and B, right? Not B and C.
@ Glenn
Gah! Thanks Glenn you're right. I fixed that in the post.
Economy Candy on Rivington will probably sell you 1000 lbs of M&Ms.
Goggla -- isn't there anything closer like a 7-Eleven? I don't want to walk more than a block and a half, max.
@rob - if we're lucky, Walmart will move into 100 Ave A and none of us will ever have to mindlessly waddle more than a block for any bulk items ever again.
With all these dang new bike racks and docking stations, there are fewer places to park... making driving to the Rite Aid on First Avenue or Avenue D all the more difficult for me!
Does Rite Aid deliver?
Of course Rite Aid delivers, but you have to be patient. I'm still waiting for the 1989 week-at-a-glance.
You drive? Why!
Anyway, the new building looks good. Huge Improvement. It should have been taller though, maybe 10 stories. It'snacross from Stuytown after all. There is also a new pharmacy coming to one of the storefronts.
