Skateboarders aren't the only people making use of 2 Cooper Square's currently vacant retail sidewalk space... some less-fortunate souls are also finding refuge here...

Homelessness should NOT exist. It is a blemish on mankind's inability to be real.I feel for these people and believe everyone has the right to good shelter and food. This sucks. BTW--homeless people seem much stronger than those a few paychecks away from the same situation--but maybe they have family who put them up or put up with them. Don't know which might be better.
