Great pic. The Fillmore East was closed for business by April '72, of course (shut down June 27, 1971, with a rather less spectacular than expected final concert, at which I was present). This photo was taken in the temporal limbo before it became a gay disco, when other rock entrepreneurs were considering taking it over. But they didn't. And now it's a bank. And apartments. Sic transit.
