[Updated] Reader report: Man clipped by bus on Avenue A

A few minutes ago... a reader noted that the man, now sitting in Avenue A, got clipped by a northbound M14, which was idling just past St. Mark's Place ... we don't have all the details... but the man did appear to be talking to the EMTs on the scene...

I hope he is okay. It was awful to see him sitting there in the street knowing he was hurt.

Hope he's OK. This happened to me once - right after Diablo Royale opened, I couldn't get past the crowds and I had to walk in the street.

With all the noise I couldn't hear the damn bus coming, you'd think I'd see the lights or something, I turned around just in time to take the side view mirror to the forehead, leaving a huge gash.

The driver jumps out screaming, and calls 911, but I didn't have insurance at the time, and wasn't about to rack up several thousand bucks in hospital bills. So I fled the scene. I could see stars but was able to walk OK.

I went to Pianos, hung out with some friends, then went home. I wasn't sure I was gonna wake up, but I did...

Look both ways before you cross the street!
