The doors to the location, a block south of you-know-what, were open last night... the fans were blowing out toward the Bowery to provide ventilation for the paint job that was happening inside. I went to step inside for a better look when Mr. Unamused Supervisor did one of those, Halt!-who-goes-there moves. Anyway, opening in May? Maybe late May!

I remember reading an interview with Daniel Boulud more than a year ago and he was talking about this project. Between this and McNally's pizza shop coming to the S.W. corner of Houston and Bowery, there should be some good inexpensive food on the Bowery soon!
Heh. Right, now all we need is a check-cashing place between the two...
