Now that such silly formalities as community harmony have been properly noted and ignored, design competition for the replacement building may begin.

The challenge is a difficult one, which only the bravest architects will accept:

Design a building even more grotesque, egotistical, tasteless, and disrespectful to its environment than the dated "deconstructionist" Cooper University terrorist-plane-crash disaster across the street.

@Anon. 9:51 - Rot in hell, you puerile little scab; you and Arun Bhatia, because there's a place for him in there as well.

how very unceremonious. and how insulting for that developer d0uche to waste everyone's time by sitting in that meeting and b*llsh*tting them about this site. hey landmarks committee - a big ol' WTF? for you.
i think we should paper this thing with copies of lisa's epic letter!

I'm watching the demo crew from my office across the street. They are wasting no time. They have removed half the roof already.

I sure hope that the new building does not need community approval for anything. I will be at every community board meeting with signs and shouting.

well, we know Rem Koolhaas is happy about this. he wants to see most of NYC torn down and replaced with starchitecture.
