Here we are at the former Cosmic Cantina space on Third Avenue... The Penny Farthing owners have taken over the space... and it's open... CB3/SLA OK'd all this in November 2010, as Eater reported.
Don't know much about how this place is different from the Penny Farthing next door. (Never been to Penny Farthing.) Early word on Linen Hall: Neighborhoodr called it "very nice" and a "welcome addition to the hood."

I had a few decent burritos at the Cosmic Cantina but I think that once the Chipotles arrived, that spelled the end for places like this, and Burritoville.
Who the hell would eat at a chain restaurant in NYC if they count themselves a "foodie" enough to read this blog?
Had excellent steak there tonight. The place is beautifully designed, service was attentive, and tables were widely spaced. Great addition to the block. Now, if somebody would just open something comparable--and not another sports and/or college bar--right across Third Avenue...
