The UPS Store delivers a grand opening on 1st Avenue

Oh, and the UPS Store (aka store #7339!) is now open at 108 First Ave. between Sixth Street and Seventh Street. (First menitoned back on Aug. 18.)

This outpost is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the week, with shorter weekend hours (8-6 on Saturday and 11-5 on Sunday).

Until March 2018, this storefront next to the McDonald's had been a chronically empty Subway® (sandwich shop) for six years.

Thanks to Steven for the photo!

I always have to walk to the one on Third Avenue. Glad we have a closer option now.

i will continue to bring my UPS packages and other UPS needs to East Village Postal a few blocks away, because they are awesome.

Given how bad our local post office is about delivering packages, I only order stuff I can get vis UPS. My UPS guy always makes sure I get my packages. I don’t know what the deal is with the postal employees in this neighborhood, but they don’t care whether anyone gets their mail. I do everything I can to not have to deal with them even if it costs more.

East Village Postal on 151 1st ave (bet 9th and 10th) is a family run operation in our neighborhood. Much better service there.

I love East Village Postal, but I will go to the new UPS store, too. It’s good to have some choice now. I like how UPS can scan the package and give me proof of mailing.

FYI, this ups outlet is also a small business run by individuals. Don't feel guilty for using them.
