Bachelor is a collaboration between Melina Duterte of Jay Som and Ellen Kempner of Palehound ... the summer blockbuster-y video here is for "Stay in the Car" from the duo's recently released debut record, Doomin' Sun.
I hear some Joey Santiago in the guitar as well but I fail to see how sounding like the Pixies is in any way a bad thing in 2021. They're not ripping anyone off (except maybe Thelma and Louise movie with the video) and anyways Pixies are the greatest American rock band of all time. The kids today subsist primarily on social media and chicken nuggets. They can and do a whole lot worse than the Pixies.
