Has anyone ever climbed a set of stairs to get a coffee?
coffee river, take me home!
Yikes, I remember my mom driving my into the city from NJ to buy my first pair of creepers in like 1997 when 99x was at this address. I am old.
Walking up a few stairs for coffee might not be the norm. But descending down a few notches from a decommissioned train track to a cafe isn't exactly the norm either.Trax Coffee Roasters:https://www.getawaymavens.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Beacon-NY-Shops-1024x684.jpg
Nobody: You: "Yes - we also have bagels in Beacon!"
Farm to table cuisine and food made from locally sourced ingredients are the trend in the hip areas of the Hudson River Valley including Beacon. So a few of the artisanal bakers who are making bagels sourced their flour from the local mills in the area which use locally grown wheat. Not sure if Chris makes his bagels at Tompkins Square Bagels is using locally sourced flour. I've asked a few times and they said they do not know. Maybe he could respond if he is reading this comment or someone reading EV Grieve would know.
