in another related thought:
just saw that Simpsons episode -- In the Name of the Grandfather, where they went to Ireland just to find that the traditional pubs have been pushed out by commercialism and yuppies. This is pretty much what has happened to the EV/NYC. FOX should do an episode on that, also.
I loved Chico's Mural too. What a loss.

I can't believe they destroyed this mural. I loved that the cat looked just like my cat Charlotte.
Noo, that was one of my favorites! I loved coming around the corner and seeing that cat...made me happy every time. :(
I wish that I had a better photo of the original mural. The one shot that I found is too distant... I know that I have another one somewhere.... And I wonder if Chico knows this...
