I was a cast member in TNC's first Street Theater production "Mama Liberty's Bicentennial Celebration." When I wasn't onstage portraying Muhammad Ali, I was drumming in the "pit" band. About 45 years later, I was scheduled to return to TNC, performing in a play about the teenage years of jazz great Ella Fitzgerald, but that was scuttled by the pandemic. Congrats, and major thanks, Crystal. You are Royalty in the Kingdom of NYC theater.

Theater for the New City is a Special place❤I've been helping a tiny bit with the props. But it takes alot of volunteers and work to put this Street play together. Thanks to Crystal Field and the crew, the list is huge! It literally takes a Village to make it happen! And its FREE for the Community! Thanks EV GRIEVE for posting❤

Hi I used to live back in the 60’s at 377 East 10th st. I have beautiful memories and the people in the neighborhood were nice. Everyone got along and neighbors were friendly always watching out for each other like family. The corner store owners knew who your parents were and said Hello, How’s the family doing? Good old days and lots of memories sad to see the building closed. I hope they renovated and make it beautiful new memories again for the people to come.
