I thought taking care of the rat population was the DOS's job?
This neighborhood has become an absolute TRASH DUMP over the past few years. We are now a ‘nightlife district’ ala Bourbon Street… GREAT!! Then the CITY needs to dedicate comparable sanitation resources so the people who LIVE here don’t have to attend a f*cking virtual Rat Academy Training course. Infuriating, insulting and humiliating.
The LES has been a "nightlife district" for generations. You want quiet, try Vermont.
Lol no one said anything about quiet. Just some service for our tax dollars when it comes to trash.
Hi Alan Cabal! Not sure you'll ever see this but are you back living downtown? Would love to see you.

Start by getting rid of the outdoor dining eyesores. Then start policing and enforcing garbage being put out by both Residential and Commercial spaces. Make sure that they are not mixed. Commercial spaces need to hire commercial garbage removal.
The Rat Academy is useless. Each night before the next day pick up all the buildings put out their trash in black plastic bags which the rats easily access, chew through and feast on their nightly meals. Then back in their holes a sunrise.
Have a Rat Academy II if you find an alternate method for trash disposal.
