East Village Thai back open today

East Village Thai — named one of the best Thai places in NYC by the Daily News in September — closed in late September because of a gas problem...

[Sept. 30]

Now, nearly two months of gas drama later ... East Village Thai here at 32 E. Seventh St. between Second Avenue and Cooper Square is reopening today, per the sign on the gate.

Check out their menu here.

Got lunch from here today. As good as always. Glad to see them back open.

BEST. NEWS. EVER.

I've been (im)patiently waiting for my spicy green beans for weeks and now they are back and I could not be happier.

First place I ever had Thai food. I was concerned when I didn't see them open for a long time; glad it was just a temporary thing.

PS: One More Thai on Clinton is now closer to me, and excellent. Just FYI.

I might have to try it again... Haven't been there for years...
