Anyway, workers removed the construction netting this past week, giving us a better idea of what Seventh Street's new neighbor will look like...
And, for the record, I echo Jeremiah's sentiments about this space: "Not that I had great love for the Miracle Grill, but I'm sad to say its garden is about to sprout a condo that's taller than its neighbors."

i was thinking this week that this building is not so bad. one of the few times i've seen something go up that's appropriate to the neighborhood. it's even got a cornice like its neighbors.
i was expecting something much worse.

yeah, i was just about to say the same thing. it's not taller than the bldg to the east of it, and the cornice is nice. big windows, probably good light inside. it could have been a LOT worse. finally, something that doesn't make my skin crawl.
