Must've gotten cooler, as I write this at 3:30 the NY 1 sign says 90ยบ - And DNA news will tell you if the sprinkler on the local hydrant can be opened

Google's weather widget is notoriously inaccurate.

I checked a few weather stations around the city at 2pm and most were reading 93 or lower. For some reason, the East Village and Little Italy area stations were registering 101.5 and 101 respectively. Not a chance.

It was pretty freakin' hot though!

I've always been convinced that its hotter on St. Marks Place 2/3aves with all the restaurants, bilateral Pizza Bros. surrounding me and THX1138 sized crowds until the wee hours of the nite [all that extra Body Heat doesn't help]
As soon as I pass The Alamo it feels fresher and less stinky...

As ShutUpHooker points out, reptiles are much, much better for the neighborhood than those warm-blooded mammals.

Seriously. I know what I'm talking about here.
