thank you grieve. i actually went to queens yesterday and when i got home my grandfather told me about the fire he saw on the news in my neighborhood. i immediately logged on to ev grieve, i knew you'd have full coverage. thanks for keeping us all in the know - you are the best source for news in the EV, hands down!
yes, i agree w/glamma. when something around here happens, i check this blog first (that's a lot of pressure on you, and your news-gathering team, i know ;) )
and when i pass something interesting, i find myself wondering if any of the blog crew are going to note it.
I guess there was more smoke in my place than I realized (sorta behind/catty corner this fire) because I just NOW thought of looking to see what EV said.
No, not Red Square, how could you EVEN think that!
Here, you'll find things that you may or may not be interested in about the East Village and other parts of New York City. Appreciating what's here while it's still here. Remembering what's no longer here. Wishing some things weren't here that are here.
Named Best Neighborhood Blog in the First Annual Village Voice Web Awards
We love tips

Thank you, Glamma — I appreciate that.
It was quite a scene ... I'm glad that everyone is OK.
